roadapples 6,983 #2 Posted August 2, 2020 With 26s you'll need to raise the seat pan...
Lee1977 7,037 #3 Posted August 2, 2020 The stock 7" rims will not work well with 12" wide tires. I have 23 x1050 x 12 on 7" rims and have only 10# pressure in them. They start rounding up in the center with more pressure.
sqrlgtr 554 #4 Posted August 3, 2020 Should of mentioned was interested in the tractor lug tires.Ive got 23x8.50-12 on it now but they look smaller then the 8.50’s thats on my 73 12hp no name tractor both with tractor lug but do look better after I put the tri ribs on the front. Was hoping to see some pictures with the 24/26x12-12 on the 7” rims. Thanks
Pullstart 64,523 #5 Posted August 3, 2020 There is an option of 10.5” 23’s too. They would take no modification to fit what you have. not a C series, but you can see the difference between 26x12-12 and 23x10.50-12 on the style tractor. The big ones I believe are on an 8” wide wheel. 1

Thanks If they are Deestones, they run very small. 10.50's more like 8.50's and short too. Carlyle and Hi-runs run true on size I believe and probably others, but it's best to find out from someone that has bought some. True 26's need 8.5" or 10.50" wheels, the 7's are just too narrow. Redneckdavis 308 #7 Posted August 3, 2020 @pullstart you had to remove fenders though?

Luckily, I didn’t have any handy, I used them on Jada’s 857 mock 1045 build...

I was looking for.Hard to belive there is that much difference in the same size between manufacturers.Looks like I might want to try the 23x10.50-12 carlisle's.Wish I would have taken a picture of the c-160 with goodyear 23x8.5-12's beside the ol 857 with the deestone 23x8.50-12's today but forgot to.They are pretty equal in height and width.I dont have any desire to relocate any fenders lol.Found some 8.5" wide rims but dot know how proud the gentleman is of them ha ha.The 24x12-12 tires seem to be harder to find then the others and dont appear to be any taller then the 23's..

sqrlgtr 554 #14 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) Here is couple pics of 857(deestones) and c-160 (goodyears). The goodyears are actually a little taller than the deestones, but from a distance they look shorter? Both are 23x8.50-12’s on 7.5” rims.Man I would like to fill that 160’s fenders with some biggins.Has anyone had there hands on the OTR landtrak tires they look pretty mean but hard to tell on the interweb pics... RandyLittrell 3,894 #15 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) I am terrible with names and handles in my old age, but there is someone here that has OTR's on his Horse and they look good!! I bet he comes along shortly or somebody else can remember. Got it!! @WVHillbilly520H Randy Edited August 4, 2020 by RandyLittrell
WVHillbilly520H 10,376 #16 Posted August 4, 2020 @RandyLittrell , thanks for the mention, Yes I have 2 WH 520s with the 23×10.50-12 (on 8.5" wide rims) OTR Lawn Trac R1 and I am absolutely happy with them (they come as Original Equipment on the Kubota BX series so that should say quite a bit about them) with Nanco or Deestones (iron weights and fluid filled) I still needed chains in the winter but with the OTRs no chains as of yet but don't take my word for it buy a pair and see for yourself. sqrlgtr 554 #19 Posted August 4, 2020 Ok have narrowed it down to the OTR Lawn Trak's or the Carlisle Tru-Power's in 23x10.50-12's.Has any of you fellers had those two beside each other and if so which one did you think was the taller tire? The OTR's are about $50 dollars cheaper for the pair.Dont think I could go wrong with either but would like the taller of the two,if there is any difference in the two.. sqrlgtr 554 #20 Posted August 26, 2020 Just wanted to follow up on this thread and share with yall what I ended up with on the back of “thumper”.Found these wheels and tires on and old monkey ward tractor. They are 23/10.50-12’s on what appears to be 8/8.5” wide wheels. They have a different backspace then the wheel horse rims but I really like the “tucked” looks of them plus they are already loaded with fluid .Aired them up and if the stay up like they are supposed to will pull them off and paint um up,if yhey dont will be putting new tubes and fluid in them....before and after pic...
