I found this tractor on Facebook and can get it for 250. Automatic with a 16 horse.

Looks like a C165. Should be worth the $, specially if it runs & drives.

'Round these parts, a good running 16hp Kohler would be worth that. Not my favorite style of WH, but I'd still say its worth it, especially considering how nice that deck looks too.

Yes.

Love the Black Hoods!!!

BTW - If the rear fenders are brittle it’s an easy swap to a metal pan...

Not sure Dan. I never had a C-165.    However all the Eatons I have had with manual lift were 700s.    Hydraulic lifts were all 1100s.      Just sayin, this has been my experience.

At a closer investigation it shows it‘s repainted, but that is not a bad sign at all.

it seems the PO try to takes care of it firstly even if the paintjob has it‘s evidence on the deckwheel in front and on the Backwheel.

it‘s worth a closer look and if the Engine runs and if the hydro doesn‘t make abnormal noises,

you should run not walk.

C-165's with Kohler single came factory with the Eaton 1100. Judging by all the crap around it ,it hasn't moved in a while

c-series don

I think that tractor has been repowered if that in fact is a 16 horse. A C-165 automatic came with hydraulic lift. I believe the C-145 automatic did as well. C-125 manual lift. Either way I don’t think you can go wrong for that price. Like others said “Run, don’t walk!!”

I just checked my book of tractors I have owned Mike.    I did have a 1980  C-125 that I bought  for the  Sundstrand 90-1173 hydro that was in it.

Checking the WH by Years list, I see in 1980 the C-125,145, and 165 came with  either a Eaton 1100-032 or a Sundstrand 90-1173. I'm thinking the Sundstrand model may have been the manual lift.   Be interested to see what tranny is in this one.
