Not sure what it came off of but with that cable connector to operate the throttle my guess would be a very old chainsaw.

Numbers on the brass button identify this carburettor to fit Wisconsin BKN & AKN engines p/n L51E, L-51-E.  Type 87BE Model 87

Almost 110% it's off an old Wisconsin.. have to check the numbers actually that may be the exact one I'm looking for. Check out a Wisconsin AKN.

You beat me to it. Yep thats it. You should find that the 'cable' eyelet is actually a small fine thread. I have a Marine inboard BKN and all that remains of my carb are two little ears that once held it to the block.. apparently someone decided the carb made a nice grab handle.

Oops, has cracked flange.

The hop vines are growing up the side of the old farm house which is destined to come down to make way for new lots, the heavy equipment has been moved in to level the land.

Zenith cleaned up and inspected for cracks and stripped threaded holes .

 

The choke and throttle body shafts are nice in their bores and move freely, no cracks or stripped threads. What I did find odd though is the location of the float needle valve being positioned over to one side.
