71_Bronco 1,072 #1 Posted July 25, 2020 Was just thinking last night about my Lawn Ranger I just picked up. I'm gathering parts here and there for when I eventually redo it. My 3-year-old daughter loves tractors and loves going for a ride in the trailer pulled by my Commando 8-8. She also loves my dads big Kubota. Part of me was thinking about redoing the Lawn Ranger for her, for when shes a little older. I was thinking about a black / rasberry color scheme. Black wheels, black seat, like a couple other WH's on this site. But instead of red, do a redish-pink color, almost like a rasberry. Thoughts? Would this be a bad idea? 3 2

ebinmaine 68,885 #3 Posted July 25, 2020 As you may gather by looking at our fleet we like to be a bit different. I'm open to most colors with the exception that I just can't paint a horse the color of another brand. 2 hours ago, roadapples said: Make it your own or in this case her own...

dcrage 628 #5 Posted July 25, 2020 Somewhere buried in this web site (unless PhotoBucket ‘ate’ them) are pictures of a pink Wheel Horse from 10-15 years ago.

Redneckdavis 308 #8 Posted July 25, 2020 (edited) I just bought a pink tractor... Hello Kitty. I've talked my 5yr old into repainting seafoam green. That pink is pretty rough on the eyes:) Edited July 26, 2020 by Redneckdavis 1

953 nut 56,171 #10 Posted July 27, 2020 Here are a couple of young ladies with colorful round hoods at the Big Show a few years back. The lift levers can be made into hand clutch levers where they need to push it forward to go and the spring return will put a little tension on the break band making it safer for the younger set to operate. 2

71_Bronco 1,072 #12 Posted July 27, 2020 That's a good idea about the hand clutch. I was thinking the other night about the foot-petal clutch and how well / safe that would work for a young adult to operate. Nice pair of LR's there @953 nut (not sure if those are yours). The other thing I was thinking was to put a smaller engine pulley on, or a larger transmission pulley, so that the tractor would be slower than stock, and less likely to jolt / jerk if the clutch was let out too fast. 2

Pullstart 63,203 #14 Posted July 30, 2020 @71_Bronco by all means do what it takes to get another young lady in on the tractor scene! Our next generation needs this vintage equipment to last for many many more years... what better way to let the ladies find their passion in a mostly guys’ world?! 1 4
71_Bronco 1,072 #15 Posted July 30, 2020 Was at Walmart and popped into the paint section. Came across this color that I liked. I also was digging the satin finish and thought it would look pretty neat, especially contrasted with black. 3
