Achto 27,506 #2 Posted July 23, 2020 Yep, Chapter 11. It's OK though, all of the top executives received a rather large retention bonus in June. So they'll be OK.

And the bankruptcy judge agreed to let them use the money for something else. At the time, 1200 big ones a month. I tell young ones, that ask about retirement, they need to be prepared to be all on their own. And it comes real fast. 1
8ntruck 6,991 #8 Posted July 24, 2020 Yup. The company I worked for went chapter 11 twice. The last time around, the pension fund got assigned to the PDGC. Now, I'll get maybe 10% of what I thought I was going to. The top execs got a large retention bonus too. The money spent on those retention bonuses would have gone a long way in financing the pensions. Pulled the rug out from under a lot of retirees. I was fortunate enough that I still had a number of years before retirement, so I could make adjustments. In the corporate world, the only person taking care of you, is you. 1
Mickwhitt 4,593 #9 Posted July 24, 2020 This sounds terrible! People have paid into their pension pot and health care to have it stolen when its too late to do anything about it. Shameful way to treat retired workers. But good that the bosses are secure. NOT

I was running a Vanguard powered trencher last night thinking how good it ran and how smooth it sounds! In all honesty, we as a Predator Repower world didn’t help much by going to the Chinese alternative. Soon, it’ll be the only option.

C-85 681 #13 Posted August 5, 2020 I'm very sad to see this! I've always liked small B&S engines, they seem to stay running, are very forgiving, even with all kinds of abuse and lack of care! C-
