JAinVA 4,623 #4 Posted July 21, 2020 Paul that is a slick blower setup.Do you remember where the squirrel cage came from? Neat repurposing of the blower chute.
oldredrider 2,550 #5 Posted July 21, 2020 Jim, it kinda "showed" up here. Buddy of mine had an idea and 1 1/2 hours later it was born and operating. Everything to build it and make it operational was repurposed from stuff I had in the shop. Best implement I've ever used because it works perfectly on my property with a huge abundance of leaves. 2
oldredrider 2,550 #6 Posted July 21, 2020 @tallen4392, go for the hydro. I was always a gear jammer until I picked up a couple of hydros. Makes life much easier and the hydros on that model are strong...as long as they have been taken care of.
JAinVA 4,623 #7 Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) One last question. You have a shot of the blower parked in the shop and I am wondering which came first, the wrecking bar or the crutches? Edited July 21, 2020 by JAinVA
oldredrider 2,550 #8 Posted July 21, 2020 Jim, just tools of the trade! Always prepared.

Talk to any heat/air conditioning contractor the does commercial work. When units are replaced the belt driven fan is tossed out. A six pack should get it done for you. Mine was on the way to the scrap metal dumpster and the guy was glad to toss a couple into the bed of my truck. Used an old muel drive and some bed frame metal to mount it. 5
ZXT 2,401 #10 Posted July 22, 2020 C-141's are great machines. I grew up around one and still use it. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
chip61 664 #11 Posted July 22, 2020 (edited) I have a C141 Hydro. You'll love it!!! I never wanted a Hydro until I mowed with one. Never could get just the right speed with a manual. No problem with a Hydro, plus much quicker when changing direction. Edited July 22, 2020 by chip61 pics 3
Pullstart 63,118 #12 Posted July 22, 2020 We want pics when you get it home! Running the tractor around for a good length of time to warm up that hydro, then chaining it to a tree or vehicle to put a load on the transmission is a great test. It should easily spin the tires, not stop the trans.
tallen4392 69 #13 Posted July 22, 2020 Does that have a posi rear ???

The work just fine with some extra weight! Randy
tallen4392 69 #17 Posted July 23, 2020 Not the same the c81 is a 8 speed the 141 is hydro from what I have read some are limited slip some are not I have lot of weight on my c81 and I used it to push stuff into the woods and got stuck no limited slip on that one one wheel spins had to pull it out with my truck some say the 141 is a limited slip
