Wheel Horse Seats

Recommended Posts

71_Bronco

On my Lawn Ranger, the seat is pretty beat up. Its usable, but its definitly seen better days.

Trying to find a "Wheel Horse" seat for this doesnt seem like something that will be easy. It's the square flat metal pan.

Did Wheel Horse use the same seats as other tractors of that era? Perhaps the small John Deere or the Cubs?

Thoughts?

Edit: reason I'm asking, is I found a couple on ePay that look identical to the seat I need, but are painted different colors. Might just buy one and hope for the best.

You might find one at tractor supply that might work, or check with a to z tractor. He is one of the vendors here on the square.

@wallfish is that guy around Auburn/Worcester still making repro parts for Panzers? Would one of those work? Or does he do horse parts?

@pfrederi does your L10(7?) Have the same seat as others?

The Tractor in question is a '62 32R (I think). Attached is a pic of the seat. part number is 3973, and is common with other Wheel Horse tractors.

Any one of those should work. Top it off with a square pan seat cover, (also available from the same place).

Per the listings, the yellow one is unknown in what it came off, and the black one is off a Sears tractor.

Paint them red or white & they'll be ready for a WH tractor.:)

Wheel Horse didn't have something made just for them, they just used a commercially available seat. I'm sure those are a match.
