71' Wheel Horse 800 special transmission issue

Hey guys, I have a 71 wheel horse with a peerless 1400 trans. the shifter works fine and will still shift gears. However the gear stick is just flopping around. I read about other people having a similar issue, but I was unable to find a solution to the problem online. Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to fix this problem?

Thank you very much. On closer inspection I found a roll pin that was sheered off

Sounds promising. Hope that is the fix.
