The Tuul Crib 7,336 #1 Posted July 13, 2020 (edited) Stepped out my shop door this morning on my way to work and here's what was looking at me. I started getting closer and started snorting at it, it did not run but just stared at me got about 20 feet away from it. Who needs a gun ,all I need is a rock! Skwerl58 702 #3 Posted July 13, 2020 We have the same issue here in the foothills of Virginia. My vegetable garden is partially fenced and that lets us harvest some vegetables. This morning when I looked out there was a doe, fawn and spike buck in the yard. I enjoy venison so I can tolerate them better than some.
oliver2-44 9,695 #5 Posted July 13, 2020 There starting to move into our neighborhood. In a small city a few miles from us there like dogs in the yard. The City has begun issuing property owners bow hunting permits during season.
Cvans 1,009 #6 Posted July 13, 2020 Your not going to have a garden with them around. For the first time since 1979 we are finding deer tracks in ours.

JoeM 7,871 #8 Posted July 14, 2020 A few years back the deer we so bad I got a super galactic, steer knocking fence and put around the garden, still ended up with only a hand full of vegetables. At the time, my wife, with her infinite wisdom said; you sure are spending a lot of money up there, I told her it wasn't about money..... it is now personal. She turned and looked at me and said, but for what you got in it, we could have imported tomatoes from Italy!
