snowhound 105 #1 Posted July 9, 2020 I need to change the brake shaft seal on an Eaton 1100 I assume, and I know assuming is a dangerous thing to do, I need to drain some oil out of the transmission before I change the seal. Am I correct? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

953 nut 55,771 #3 Posted July 9, 2020 Oil level shouldn't be that high and you will need to jack it up anyway. Be sure to file off any rust and other nicks on the axle and tape off the keyway when you install the seal. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
