Nut clips

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,  my son and I are in the process of restoring a c-165 and we are stripping it down and are starting from the frame up and we were wondering if anyone had a good source for the nut clips or blind nuts, not sure what they are called.

Any decent hardware store.

Big box store.

But I'd be getting a list together of other stuff you need/want from the McMaster Carr website...

AWESOME place.

McMaster calls them Clip-On nuts.  Note that there are different distances to hole.  Nuts

You must have better hardware stores than I do. My stores have the drawers but most are empty. :(

dave 383 stroker,  i also live in connecticut, near me are , ACE HARDWARE , TRUE VALUE HARDWARE, LOWES , HOME DEPOT , they all have a very well stocked hardware , pull out drawer section , and a picture graph to find what you want. those slide on spring mount screw holders are there , this is not complicated, pete

Thanks for the replies, we will have to stop by our local hardware store and check out what they have. I'm sure we are going to be asking more questions. Thanks

If you can find an old school hardware store, just go through all the little drawers they have. When I am looking for an idea of how I am gonna fix or modify something, you can get some good ideas there!

Good advice there.

I never know what kinds of things I'm going to find that I didn't even know I needed!!!
