The Tuul Crib 7,336 #1 Posted July 6, 2020 Nashville has lost a great musician and all-around great personality today. Just got word that Charlie Daniels has passed away. He is one in our community that will be greatly missed because he would always give back to the community he lived in. Which would be Mount Juliet Tennessee. 12

roadapples 6,983 #7 Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) First time I heard of Charlie Daniels was when he did Uneasy Rider. Still my favorite. If you never heard it it's worth looking up. Saw him in concert about 40 years ago and again about five years ago. Edited July 6, 2020 by roadapples
JCM 9,130 #8 Posted July 6, 2020 Had the privilege to see him about 13 years ago at Indian Ranch an outdoor venue in Webster Mass and he was AWESOME. RIP my friend.
rjg854 11,349 #9 Posted July 6, 2020 I've seen him a couple of times over the last few years. His last show we saw him, I couldn't believe how much energy he put into it. A great performance and artist, I must have atleast a dozen of his albums, matter of fact I've got his cd "The Door" in the truck's player right now. It's a gospel album, and I think one of his best. Check it out!!

c-series don 8,664 #11 Posted July 7, 2020 Saddle tramp might be my favorite CDB song, my sister got me listening to him in the 80’s RIP Charlie.
ZXT 2,401 #12 Posted July 7, 2020 RIP, Charlie! Saw that he passed this morning and it put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. All of the good old musicians are aging out. I was never lucky enough to see him but my sister did probably 2 years ago. Said he was still energetic and put on a good show. I always liked Uneasy Rider '88 better than Uneasy Rider for some reason.
