C-125 - how to pull front axle beam. I know, lame question but Ive been looking for a how to or video tutorial. Pretty tight area for working on tractor at the moment so I want to know what’s entailed beforehand. Appreciate the help.

like: can I leave mule drive & belt on? Looks like the steering setup will have to be removed before big pin comes out?

Swapping out cast iron beam & doing wheel bearings, prob poor mans power steering thrust washers, tires & painting rims prob but I figured those out that all myself...

Pullstart

I think you’ll have to pull the mule drive and deck off for easiest results.  The hood would probably shed some light on where you’re working.  For what you’re doing, popping the steering arms off at the outer tie rods would work.  Jack up the frame in the middle or just behind the engine and support it.  There should be a C clip on the front of the frame along with a 5/16” (1/2” wrench) bolt holding that pivot pin in for the rear.  Drive the pin back and the axle should be able to drop down then.

Here is a drawing of the parts and pieces involved. The easiest way to remove ans reinstall the axle would be to remove the mounting plate the mule drive attaches to but it can be done by pulling the pin and then managing to line everything up to put the pin back in. In the long it will be much easier to drop the mule drive.

At the least, loosen the three 3/8 nuts that hold this plate on, it does make it easier to remove the pin.
