Pullstart 62,787 #1 Posted July 5, 2020 In 8 hours, I’ll wake up and pack up the gear from camping this weekend, fill up the chicken and cat food and water and the family and I are heading to Dallas Fort Worth. We plan to be back in Michigan Tuesday night. We hope for safe travels and no forsaken road blocks. The dolly is greased up, tire pressures at 50 psi as recommended and we have roadside stuff in a pile to be loaded before we go. Here we come Norman Jr! Thanks in advance for your engine and other goodies to make Norman purr cool again! 4

Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #8 Posted July 5, 2020 Good luck! What are you towing it with? That’s gotta be a 6000-7000 pound truck, just a guess (Maybe I shoulda googled it)

The Suburban has a max trailering package, rated at 8,000 lbs. I had an ‘01 crew cab 4x4 Powerstroke that came across the scales at 7450, this is an extended cab 2wd and I assume it to be in the 6500-7,000 range. We don’t expect to make any land speed records on the trip home, just constant progress at any speed we feel is comfortable. 5

So.. your thinking about 1st or 2nd gear low range on a WH...? Maybe 1 - 2 MPH if the wind is to the rear? Remember - You need to factor in the weight of the Ho Ho's... 1

Pullstart 62,787 #18 Posted July 6, 2020 I love them girls! They won’t ever admit, but they’re best friends too. They travel like little troopers. We’re 800 miles from home and have stopped twice for bathroom breaks. Not a complaint from either one. 4
