peter lena 8,580 #4 Posted July 3, 2020 TGALO, is that belt tension using a small pressure cylinder ? i agree with 1995 above , a spring beats a cylinder any day for constant pulley control , just use the cylinder mounting holes to mount a spring , also lubricate any related linkage, pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

My 312A is essentially the same set up and its quit. To answer the questions, when I picked the tractor up it had the noise. No pressure cylinder just the tension spring. The belt was about to break and the idler was bad. The belt was riding on the edge of the idler. I figured it was a easy fix.I had to shim it out slightly to get it to track perfectly. But it didn't change anything as far as the dancing arm goes. I'll mess with it some more... thanks all 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
