Pullstart 63,218 #1 Posted July 2, 2020 This was in Grandpa’s scrap pile many moons ago. I yanked it out and would pull it around once in a while. First time I hooked it to a Brinly style sleeve hitch, It broke off. The left side had been snapped and a patch welded it, but with nearly an inch gap in length. My guess is as it broke, it bent the center beam, but they welded it as it sat instead of straightening things. All speculation here. I shortened the long patch today and will attempt to straighten the center by clamping it to the right. Then I’ll work on putting the so called hitch back on.
Pullstart 63,218 #2 Posted July 2, 2020 With some blocking and clamps, I straightened it quite a bit. Now I’ll smooth out the hitch area and prep it to weld back together.
Pullstart 63,218 #3 Posted July 2, 2020 (edited) Hitch is cut flush. I’ll grab Hot Wheels and see how high the hitch needs welding to get it in the ground a few inches. Edited July 2, 2020 by pullstart Picture

Pullstart 63,218 #9 Posted July 3, 2020 I narrowed this old boy up a bit, the excess wings were grabbing tomato cages today. No harm, no foul. It also didn’t dig very far behind big and tall Hot Wheels. I’ll try it again behind a Putt Putt next to see if closer to the ground helps it. 1
