Oh ok it's on my wife's Facebook and I can't seem to download it. Will try and get the video when home next. Built the bucket and threw some paint around today. Digger arm is holding the bucket but not actually in the correct position in picture. Had to beef up the main arm bracket, don't trust the glue to hold all the weight 😁 Edited July 7, 2020 by Dan.gerous 1 3

Dan.gerous 2,696 #29 Posted July 8, 2020 A small update, digger bucket on. Change of scenery as well for you all, it is sitting in our crew lounge.
Dan.gerous 2,696 #30 Posted July 8, 2020 Got side tracked, one of the stewardesses mirror frame broke. It was a cheap varnished pine thing - couldn't resist blinging it up for a laugh. Spent the night painting and decorating it in between doing my actual job. 3
Pullstart 62,787 #31 Posted July 10, 2020 I think this might apply to boredom eradication... I had a lego build off with Rylee tonight. We took turns grabbing stuff out of the bin and had Jada judge them. This is my air vehicle. 4

Last night one of the crew had a sore eye (sty) so I made an eyepatch using the company logo cut out of my shirt, the chin strap of a hard hat, some cardboard and a rag. It went down a treat this morning when they woke up and found it on the door. 1 1
Dan.gerous 2,696 #37 Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) Lack of sleep had been catching up on the last few days so progress has been slow, however constructed one of the hydraulic rams for the boom this evening. It's quite realistic, although the tolerances are not great. Once it's all painted nobody will realise how crappy the workmanship is! Doing everything by hand trying to be quiet with thirty people asleep all around you makes it challenging.... Edited July 11, 2020 by Dan.gerous 1

Neither survived the wreck, then I went out to mow for a couple hours until dark

Wish I had a pillar drill as it's impossible to get the holes perfectly square. I suppose the inaccuracies add to the vehicles charm.
Dan.gerous 2,696 #42 Posted July 11, 2020 Bracket for the dipper arm ram. 1
Dan.gerous 2,696 #43 Posted July 12, 2020 That's it nearly complete. One more ram for the bucket, a coat of black paint and then it's just some detail work like name plate etc Proportions are all out as the rams and bucket are massive, but it was built with junk laying about and the plans are in my head. Two of the crew want it for their sons, and I want it for my collection of random ornaments.... Going to build two more when I get home, but make them a bit more robust for the kids - solid wood etc. That way we all win and get one each 🤗 Hopefully 24 hours and the complete pics will be up.... 1
