Magnum starter removal not done one yet!

The Tuul Crib

Sitting here looking at the starter on this magnum and trying to figure out the best way to remove it without well you know screw it up!? I need a push:wacko:!

Tape the end caps to the body.  the two mounting screw also hold the ends on

Can you remove the bracket with the starter attached so you can get it on the work bench before taking out those through bolts??

 

Careful, there is a spring snake in the case!!    :orcs-cheers:

I just did the 414-8... Take the dipstick tube off (3 screws) then remove the block fastening bolts easy peasy installation is in reverse operation.

I just picked this engine up from a friend he said he didn't need it no more so he gave it to me. I have a magnum 14 but I have never pulled a starter off of it so I was making sure I didn't turn something that wasn't supposed to be turned!

Man that sounds too much like a day job!:wacko:! Ill give it a try ! I'm actually gonna set it back aside so I can get back to my sunstrand rebuild.
