I have done 3 mods to mine. 1) put it on castors so I can move it. 2) put in a speed lift jack so it only takes a few pumps to lower the ram (yours may be this way already, I don't know) 3) Added a cable lift system to the table to make adjusting the height a breeze. cleat 5,810 #6 Posted June 23, 2020 I did one more thing that I forgot to mention before. I made up a short handle for the jack that I use 90% of the time. The only time I use the long handle that came with the jack is when I am maxing it's capacity. I get real nervous at this point especially since this press does not have a safety cage. You get 20 tons of force exerted and something suddenly lets go it gets real interesting real quick. Longer handle gets you another foot or so if distance plus it makes pushing the jack easier.
