Ed Kennell 38,022 #15 Posted June 21, 2020 No red tractors for me. My six boy (2 sons and 4 grandsons) picked me up at 8 AM and took me on a 5+ mile hike along a local stream to the site of a hydro generating station that was built in the late 1800s by the S. Morgan Smith Company which is now owned by Voith Hydro. I retired from Voith Hydro after 47 years and my oldest son Mark has worked there for 30 years. So, this site in addition to being a kayakers paradise is also of special interest to Mark and I. The site is known as the Muddy Creek Gorge and there are many you tube kayaking videos if anyone is interested. The boys actually took me down this steam in a kayak on fathers day about 15 years back. Using old drawings and a picture, we were able to confirm the site of the hydro station and found a draft tube from one of the two turbines. After returning home and a 2 hour recovery nap, Mrs K treated me to a feast of burgers, sweet corn, hot lettuce salad, and strawberry shortcake. Hope you all had a great day. 5 4

ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #21 Posted June 22, 2020 Happy Father's day to everyone. We loaded up the camper Friday and had a nice weekend camping at the lake. Came home this afternoon and now just watching it storm outside and relaxing, had a great time but we are all wore out now. Didn't catch any fish over the weekend (gives me a good reason to convince Krystal we need a boat) so I had planned on taking the boys to a little pond up the road from the house this evening when we got home, but everyone was so tired we all came inside and took a two hour nap, guess we will go fishing tomorrow night 3 1

Years ago my wife bought me a new grill for Father's Day. as an added bonus, she was going to assemble it so I could just do what ever I wanted. She also refused to use the directions. After a bit more than 2 hours I hear HELP!! @stevasaurus @Stormin notice the paper BBQ tray liners. Edited June 22, 2020 by squonk 1 1

echris 1,425 #25 Posted June 28, 2020 I'm a little late to the party, but my kids surprised me with 8 beautiful prints from one of my favorite video games called Bioshock. And they did it all on their own. The art in the game is all Art-Deco + Steampunk, just beautiful stuff. The prints the kids got me are from the "ads" in the game for Plasmids. Kinda like an injection that can give you the ability to launch fire from your fingertips. (This was not without extremely negative side effects lol). Anyway, I hung the photos up today in the back room along with some new hangers for the guitars. My kids are awesome! Lucky Dad here. 3
