Here’s my turn to point out a silly mistake.  On I’ve NEVER done before (sarcasm alert!)...

Forgot the nut before the double flare!

That‘s the reason while i hate it to work in a hurry

or start several things the same timeline.  :laughing-rolling:

This is a nearly guarantee such things can happen,

but you just have to cut few mm to redo.

I've done a bit of brake line double flares (vintage Mustang, kids cars...)

I picked up an "Inline Flaring" tool and can't believe how much easier/professional looking the flares came out! On my Daughters car I had limited space to work in, no problem

it was around $20 and well worth every cent!

Just saying, I don’t think they remind you in the instructions to put that nut on,

I remember one time bending a tube, wanting to get one more job done, it had a double Z configuration. Ran into 3 problems, nut was on the other side of the Z, two the last bent went left not right, three didn’t have another one,

I think I may still have that trophy.

Had an oops! today mesel'. Changing engine oil and filter, plus fuel filter on one of the farm tractors. Warmed it up then removed the sump drain plug. While it was draining removed the oil filter above it. I knew there was a tool for removing filters, but during lockdown my farmer friend had tidied the workshop up and some things had a new storage place.. Couldn't find the tool so used the well known method of a screwdriver through the filter and removed the filter.

Thought it was strange that the oil in it was clean. Then the penny dropped. It was the hydraulic oil filter. The engine oil filter was on the other side and I didn't have a hydraulic filter. :angry-banghead:  One was quickly sent for.

Here’s the day’s “Doh!” Moment...

My old two row disc sheared some bolts.
