The Tuul Crib 7,337 #1 Posted June 14, 2020 (edited) Sitting here looking down the barrel of this gun. And I'm seeing two roll pins on either side. I'm assuming that these come out ?but is there enough room on the backside to pound them out and are they easy to put back in? How does the swash plate come out? pfrederi 17,866 #3 Posted June 14, 2020 (edited) Why do you want to take them out??? You can replace the oil seals from the outside. If you need to replace the needle bearings you will have to drive them out. see page 37 of the manual. Edited June 14, 2020 by pfrederi
pfrederi 17,866 #4 Posted June 14, 2020 If you want to remove the hardend thrust plate (Item 7) you just need a dental pic or hook it is not attached to swash plate just sort of held there by suction and oil
daveoman1966 3,762 #5 Posted June 15, 2020 I use a dental pick...with a sharp point to get under the side of the thrust washer and lift it out. As for the SWASH plate removal: Two roll pins in each side...one atop the other. Use ONLY a rollpin punch and drive BOTH out of one side. The top one will drive the bottomo one out....put a magnet under there to catch it. Same on the other side. With the roll pins COMPLETELY out, lever a flat screwdrive to start the shaft out of the alum housing...either side. Then pull it the resto fo the the way out. Once it is out, drive the other side out using a socket of correct id. 1

The swash plate has to be dead flat, drive the first half of the roll pin into a hidden pocket. Remove the extracted half pin then proceed to remove the other half. Each hole having a roll pin has two shorts for a total of four. Edited June 15, 2020 by bcgold
