Is there a camming element to the left hand side? Or is it just a coincidence that the washer is larger on one side than the other?

So it CAN get metal but is that what YOU use it for?

So now I'm wondering ... why use this instead of something like just a pair of gloves?

Is the metal delicate? Are we trying not to stain the metal? Are we using this tool to put metal in at a particular angle or in a particular small place?

It has a very specific purpose. That purpose is within my line of work where precision is a must specially on big jobs.
