Deck will not fit with out major mods to the tractor

aligning pins are easy .  Cut the head off a 3/8 nc bolt.  Cut a slot for the screw driver to get it in and out of the tranny.  File/grind a bit of a bevel on the end, makes it line up more easily.

Will send o rings today no charge...

again thanks so much for your help and i will tell the guy it will not work on his horse ;as well i will let you know how i make out getting the tranny out

just to let you know how bad the postal system is as today the first set of 0-RINGS arrived today which was sent out on the 7th of this month ;odd the second set arrived first which was marked the 14th ' the good news is that i sold some mower deck parts to a guy who is getting in to collecting and restore this fine old tractors well he is a retired mechanic from lawn mower repairs and he is going to help me repair the leak i have ;as i really do not want to go it alone as this is all new to me ;he has surgery at the end of the month and once he recoups he will fix the leak ;and yes this why i if need in the future will know how to repair another transmission ;i will keep you posted as time goes by ;again thank you so much for the rings and the pictures which i know it will help when the time comes;

yep they arrived and again the post offices are not going broke as they say as they like always will jack up prices 'i have to say really as though the years i have hauled mail from syracuse new york to new york city 6 nights a week and the ones on the loading docks are lazy ;heck each nght i had a 3 hour lay over to be reloaded and head back ;really the city is no wheres to be sitting for hours as the creeps come out plus the girls ;but it sure did pay good ;even being an owner operator ; i will let you know how it goes with the leak and again thank you so much for everything

just let you know that the charger 10 is being fixed now by a guy who has been a small engine repair guy for over 20 years; how I found him is the fact that he and his son bought my plow plus one of my tractors ;I do trust them both really as I had a issue with my 1973 as it would not start as it used to 'so I took it to a Kohler dealer who only works on these  now he says the valves are good but  the motor needs a ring job ;odd the other mechanic took it for 2 days and I was told the valves were good and no ring job needed well he pulled the head and really there was so much carbon built up on the valves  so he cleaned the top of the piston and the valves ;odd the old 16 horse runs as it should so really you can not trust every one and I  spent 75 bucks for nothing as that one so called dealer told me I  needed a ring job ;once the the old girl comes back for sure I will let you know of the results ;again thank you so much for your help
