Motor Upgrades

I have a 310 – 8 has a m10s Kohler motor what else can I put under the hood of his tractor will a M16 fit underneath there and bolt up and I want to make it look as stock as possible I don't have no modify the hood of the frame the compromise strength or integrity

The M16 is the same size a the M10 just more hp. So fitting would not be a problem, Now there may be some differences in the charging system and some other things, but the basic size is the same.

The only primary concern I'd have is making sure the crankshaft is long enough.  I have come across a few M16s that could have been had for almost free, but the cranks were either 1" long or tapered.
