mpoore 26 #1 Posted June 5, 2020 I am having trouble picturing a C-195 with a 3pt also having the rear axle hitch for a snow blade. There is a hitch on Ebay for the D-series and C-195, which the seller apparently makes himself. Looking at the pictures and looking at my C-195 have me seriously questioning that both a 3pt hitch and rear axle hitch can fit at the same time. The way the 3pt attaches seems to be exactly where a rear axle hitch would also attach. Can anyone confirm this is possible? A picture would be even better. Would there be another hitch design to work with a 3pt? Thanks.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted June 5, 2020 Looks like the dozer brackets mount in front of the axle housings. The 3-point does not show what the lower links connnect to. Is it already part of the tractor? Garry
mpoore 26 #3 Posted June 6, 2020 The bottom of the 3pt (#14 in the diagram) attaches to brackets that are attached to the axle. It is the brackets that would appear to make it impossible to attach a rear axle hitch unless you use the brackets to also mount the hitch, which leads me to believe that there might be another version for models with a 3pt. Here is a link to the hitch that is supposed to fit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/223976532514
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #4 Posted June 6, 2020 Looks like the missing parts are part of the tractor. Item #42 mounts behind the axle housing using item #44 mounting bracket on the front of the housing. Remove item #44 and replace it with the dozer rear hitch as is in your link. https://www.partstree.com/models/01-19ke01-c-195-toro-garden-tractor-1982/transaxle-19/ Garry

mpoore 26 #6 Posted June 6, 2020 Garry: Thanks for your replies and willingness to straighten this out in my mind. What you wrote makes sense. Some of this stuff is not well documented, so this forum serves an important purpose. On a side note, I don't see how the latches lock. Do the latches lock in place? mpoore 26 #7 Posted June 6, 2020 Thanks for the pictures, 953 nut. It's clear now that the axle hitch replaces the 3pt brackets on the front side of the axle.
