gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,096 #2 Posted June 2, 2020 Found this in the service manual. Looks like the fan is on the input shaft before the yoke is installed. Diesel_Brad 34 #3 Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) Well, I finally got around to looking at this tonight. What a pain in the A$$. You have to remove the driveshaft(at least an hour process) Then I had to remove that 1/4" bolt that ("A" in the pic Gwest_ca showed) Then loosen 2 set screws and pry the flange off the transmission input shaft. The fan has a slot for the woodruff key but it doesn't actually engage to it, it is on further down the shaft. I put a 3/16" thick 5/8" washer on, then the fan, then the flange and then the 1/4" bolt pinches it tight. then another hour putting the driveshaft back in.
