The Tuul Crib   7,336 #1 Posted May 29, 2020 Been painting today but unfortunately the wrong color.  I much prefer regal red but this project had to get done in three more days!!  Almost there. The tops are spalted maple. A lot going on in these small little squares!! 7 2
Stormin   9,981 #2 Posted May 29, 2020  Look very strong and sturdy and I'm sure they are. First thought was stools. But not if they've got tops.

They do resemble children's seats ! all I have to do is leave the top off! it's what the customer wanted!

They're a little uneven on top because there's so much going on with the pieces, The white color wood is a lot softer than the darker almost the start of dry rot .Was a Challenge to sand. probably a second coat of poly tomorrow and wrap it up. Thanx !

I know the feeling. I usually use a clear penetrating epoxy on the rotted soft parts to harden it. Takes a few applications but it does the job.
