Recommended Posts

Hey guys this is my first post. I got a new to me 310-8 in real nice shape. Pulled the drive apart and need bearings. Water got in through the shift boot. Model is 3110k81 12809 which thanks to this forum i found to be 1990. Problem is all the info i found on here says 1 1/8 axles i have 1" axles with 4 pin planetary. Uni drive pn is 2988185. I need axle bearings seals , large ball bearing which is a 6008, and brake shaft bearings input shaft bearings (b107) and seals. Anyone have the sizes so i can call my local bearing supplier? Thanks.

Nice work tearing into that.

There is a thread at/near the top of the transmission section that shows cross reference numbers.

One option is to call Lowell at Wheelhorse parts and more.

One of our fine vendors.

Him and Joette are very helpful.

They'll have all the stuff you need.

Remember to order a shift boot and double check the hub set screws to be sure they're in good shape.

welcome to Red Square.  This is going to be a little confusing, but here goes.  If you have 1" axles and the 4 pinion differential, then you have the #11095 transmission.  The stuff you are seeing says the 310-8 should have the #11096 transmission...which has 1 1/8" axles and 8 pinions in the differential.  So your  1990  310-8   model # 31-10K801  serial #12809  has the #11095 transmission.

Axle bearings (2)  #1528  cross to KOYO #B-1616

Axle seals (2)   #100863  cross to SKF #9815

Inner axle bearings (2)  #111199  cross to ... see below

Input shaft bearing (1)  #1542  cross to KOYO #B107

Input shaft seal (1)  #100442  cross to SKF #6105

Spline shaft closed (1) #1531  cross to KOYO #M10121

Brake Shaft bearing (1)  #1523  cross to KOYO #B1210    #B-1212 is discontinued

Brake Shaft seal (1) #100441  cross to SKF #7410

Cluster Gear shaft bearing closed (1) #1531  cross to M-10121

11/44 tooth gear bearing (2) #1532  cross to KOYO #M-16121

I think your serial #12809 is the reason you have the #11095 transmission.  Serial #s 11752-11755 have the 1 1/8" axle transmission.

Hopefully your inner axle bearings are OK...curious as to what you have there.  If you  have the needle bearings, they are WH #111199.  If you have the ball bearing, it could be WH#1533.  #1533's are available through  Wheel Horse Parts and More.  I'm not sure what the needle bearing is replaced by.

1533  measures 1.500" ID and 2.500" OD

111199 measures 1.5748"  or   40mm ID....2.6772" or 68mm OD....  .5906"  or  15mm Wide.

If you do a search using 1533 or 111199 you can find lots of information, and the service bulletin for this.  :occasion-xmas:
