8ntruck 6,998 #1 Posted May 26, 2020 While wielding up my receiver hitch, I was wearing an old chamber, short sleeve shirt. You know, wielding project, wear something old that I won't care if a couple of holes get burned in. Only problem was, the shirt was so worn, it did not completely block the ultra violet light from the arc. I ended up with a sunburned belly. The funny part is that the multiple layers of fabric for the buttons did shield the ultra visor light, giving me an un-sunburned stripe up the middle of my belly. 4 3

Now you will have to mask off the rest of your body and go lay in the sun for a couple hours. 1
8ntruck 6,998 #3 Posted May 27, 2020 The last time I did any welding, my shirt gasped, and I ended up with a sunburned bellybutton. Guess I should start wearing some sort of a shop apron when I weld.
