Does anyone know what all the different applications were for these seats ? And what is the deciding factor on whether they are red or black or was it just what was available as they went down the line? Thanks guys.

No, haven't the foggiest  :confusion-shrug:  but I sure wish I could find one for the C-160 I just got.

I have seen them on GT-14's and early 70's C & D series.  I can't say I'm a big fan of this style seat and have replaced them.  I probably have a few laying around.

I'm curious to know why?

I love the look of them but I've never sat on/used one.

If  they are of no use to you let me know, as they say one man's junk is another man's treasure :laughing-rolling:

I like the one that's on my C-160, which came off of my GT-14. Not sure if the pans were different between the two models, but even adjusted as far back as it will go, it is still way too far forward. I need to build a set of brackets to space it back some more. I like it fine other than that.

The high back one piece seat pan on the Cinnamon Horse was that way as well.

I took the springs out and replaced them with pieces of 2" square tubing.

Drilled holes in the tubing to set my seat 2" + further back than stock.

It's about right for my "not small" self.

Never been a fan of them. In general didn't like the seat just plopped down on the fender. I've changed all of my seats to spring mounted except for HHHOOOWWWAAARRRDDD!!!

I prefer a lower back seat on the C-series, it makes getting on & off a bit easier.

I must have a lot of treasures laying around here.  You should take a road trip!
