1995 48" Side Discharge Mower - Blades Nut

Recommended Posts

I can't loosen the blade holding nuts. I tried heat and penetrating oil. I wanted to sharpen and balance this deck attached to my, new to me, 95 314 8.

I use a Pneumatic Impact Hammer ...in Reverse, of course.  What you DON'T want to do is damage the 3/4" shaft...

Split the nut if you have to...the nut us easy to find...not the spindle shaft..

Take the deck to a service station they pop it off in no time. They have a large compressor and a heavy impact.

agree impact gun is the way to go

but I've never had a problem getting the nuts off

you need a good wrench - long to provide leverage

or long breaker bar with good socket
