3WHDave 60 #1 Posted May 10, 2020 (edited) Another perplexing wiring situation arose yesterday as I put the final touches on some open issues before attempting to start my D180 for the first time. The instructions for the coil I bought, from a reputable source known to this community, shows the wiring opposite of the coil I took off the Kohler K482 twin cylinder. It's only frustrating because once again, I’m about to do something opposite the original layout. Any ideas as to why this difference exists? Are there left & right coil packs available? ebinmaine 69,431 #2 Posted May 10, 2020 That twin Kohler engine uses a waste spark system tht fires one cylinder when needed and the other, at the same time, opposite the 4 strokes. It might not matter how it's connected. I'd follow the diagram from the seller.
