Wheel Horse 1054 flooding.

1054 won't start.  Turns over. Lots of spark.  Flooded. Every time.  Looking to find carburator correct fuel and air settings and which screw is which. Please and thank you.

The top screw is your main, the 45 degree screw is your idle.  Turn them in (clockwise) until they stop but don’t force them.  Count turns out and adjust according to the K241 settings as a baseline.

Here is a link for a good read

Adjustment may do the trick but it sounds like the needle and seat may not be stopping the fuel flow. If you have been using gas with ethanol in it there may be some junk built up in the carb. Here is a site that will help you find ethanol-free gas. https://www.pure-gas.org/

953 Nut is right.I don't think the mixture screws will make it flood.Stuck needle in the carb equals removing, cleaning, and rebuilding carb.Have fun with that damn gas tank in the way.

Pete, the gas tank on the 1054 is under the seat, you must be thinking of a GT-14.

Right you are.Either a senior moment,or lack of oxygen from breathing through a face mask for 2 months.I'll be glad when things return to normal.
