1988SS 50 #1 Posted May 7, 2020 The brake pedal flips rearward too far and the foot rest is bent downward. Is the right foot rest the limiting pedal stop or is there something in the linkage that prevents pedal 'flop back'? I had adjusted the brake so that the parking brake now engages and the foot brake holds. I'm not sure what the previous owners did to the linkage adjustment. pfrederi 17,741 #2 Posted May 7, 2020 Brake pedal must catch the corner of the foot rest to hold it upright.
1988SS 50 #3 Posted May 8, 2020 That corner was bent down letting the pedal rearward. I installed a metal strip that will help support the pedal stop position.
mort 24 #4 Posted December 22, 2020 I think it was just the corner that was bent causing the brake pedal to be out of position. Also looking for a #102881 GE 4411-1 Headlight 35 watt. Will a Napa LMP4411 work? Thanks, Gary

Stormin 9,981 #7 Posted December 24, 2020 I'd the same problem with the Black Horse. Fitted a piece of angle to the footplate.
