CoolvilleMafia 0 #1 Posted May 2, 2020 I have a 48" mower deck that I am looking for good spindles or possibly complete mower deck parts mule that will work on my 96' 520H. My deck is still solid. lynnmor 7,302 #2 Posted May 2, 2020 You have a choice of a 42" rear discharge, a 42" rear discharge Recycler, a 48" side discharge and the very large and heavy 60" side discharge. Mine a 1989 with 7" rear wheels and right deck wheel rubs the tire. If he has 8.5" rear wheels there is no way it will work. I changed mine out to a 48" deck. My deck is still solid. Any info on alternate fitting decks appreciated also. Thanks! Do the spindle PULLEYS on your 48" deck use a WOODRUFF KEY or not? If the shaft is 3/4" diameter...YES. If the spindle shaft is only 5/8" dia, then yours do NOT use the keyway. I ahve two GOOD USED spindles...for 42 or 48" decks..these DO HAVE the keyway slot. I do not have the pulleys though.
