I used this and it did an excellent job followed by your favorite carburetor spray cleaner I also replaced the throttle shaft bushing and it's like a new carburetor :banana-wrench:

B-12 Chemtool® Carburetor, Fuel System and Injector Cleaner (15 fl. Oz.)

My Harbor Freight ultrasonic say do not use flammable liquids in the cleaner. Berrymans or Gunk carb cleaner is extremly flammable. These cleaners have electric heaters in them. I use Simple Green also.

Thanks for your response y'all. Are you using simple green full strength and does it remove corrosion?

My understanding is regular simple green will etch aluminum, I guess there is a different kind of simple green that will not. I havn't seen it though.

Yes I use simple green straight out of the bottle. I've only used it on plastic and pot metal/aluminum carbs. Works fine.
