What did you do today?

Spent a bunch more money on the bathroom job today than I quoted but they insisted on marble tile in the shower...

..then got some more plumber’s crack on tonight.  I’m waiting for a brass nipple to arrive for the auto fill / back flow preventer, then we can likely pressure check for leaks.

Spent yesterday at my mate Dunc's, laying the workshop mezzanine floor. By 'eck! Those 8 x 2 floor boards are heavy. Or is it me getting old? Came home absolutely knackered. :(

Norm its a combination, they are bloody heavy but we are not kids anymore lol.

Did some work on the community project aided by a 22 year old volunteer. He was as soft as chocolate bless him, never lifted or shifted anything heavy in his life.

Your right there Mick. Brain says 19. Rest of me disagrees. And I've just realised those boards were 8 x 2.

Crikey no wonder they were heavy!

Wet and windy here so not going to get much done out of doors.

Got some things to be getting on with though so I won't get bored lol.

I like to think age is just a number.

Old as you feel

Some days I feel about 3. Others I feel closer to 103.

Fixing some leaky transmission lines today.  Full replacement just to be sure... but that rusty spot on the front transmission connection is spraying pretty bad.

After work today lit a fire in the living room woodstove and 2 hours later lost power for about 1 hour, super windy today. Anybody else enjoy a nice fire and the smell of woodsmoke when you step outside.

I am going to vote in a few minutes.  My daughter lives next to the polling place and she called to say that never before has there been such a crowd.

I wonder based on population, the percentage of new voters that have been eligible in the past?  Good to hear people are exercising their right to vote!  May all of the most fit candidates win, in their respective fields!

Looks like being a record turnout over there. We are watching with interest to see who wins.

Its an odd system though, hard for us to understand.

Burning some of those dead spruce I removed last year.    They work great for a quick heat in the morning.
