A 6 foot diameter tree in a cold northern climate?

Definitely older.

It is sometimes necessary to hire a professional- no doubt about it.  My neighbor came over the other day after the professional hired by his next door neighbor hired a professional with a bucket truck to remove three large trees on a high sloped yard!

We were watching as the cutting was pretty high up and a limb at a time job.   One of the larger pieces did hit my friends fence but that was the least of the problems.  Later in the day we’re were watching and saw was looked like smoke spread out from the top of the bucket!   Turned out it was hydraulic fluid being spewed over the area from a broken hose or connector as the hydraulic pump pushed out the fluid.

The guy in the bucket stayed up there about three and a half hours.  Two five gallon buckets of fluid were added but still no worky and no movement.  He eventually shimmed down a rope they provided.

BucketIMG_7091.jpeg.5506891ecb9a0866affe66e8d291d493.jpeg was up the next morning in same spot but they eventually repaired and moved in a shorter bucket truck and shredder!

The guys that service those bucket setups make good money. Probably why he climbed down a rope instead.

I looked into a position with a company that services the boom-lift setups, and it looked like after the first year base salary was about $150K plus bonuses, OT, etc. The deal killer for me was 8 weeks of training out in Michigan, then a year in the shop in Fredrick MD, which is an hour each way from me. With two smaller kids, and two young dogs the time away was a deal killer.

Crown has a factory in Greencastle, Indiana that pays good $$.  They are Ohio based but make a good product.  I think they only make interior lifts for warehouses etc.

My son-in-law dropped this off today.  It was his grandfather's.  It was loaned to someone who said the carb fell off while tilling, and he couldn't find it.

If I can't fix it, it's off the the scrap yard.

1st step, id the carb.  Maybe I have one in the shop.

I believe we've got the basement apartment plumbing changes figured out.
We had a utility sink to the left of the toilet.
That's moving to the right a few feet and getting branched into the old washing machine drain with new pipes and hoses.

The new bathroom counter and sink will be off to the left and 90⁰ from the old location.
The kitchen sink is just beyond that and through a wall. It will branch off the current bathroom plumbing.
That'll have all new pipes and hoses as well, of course.

The apartment itself is getting near completion.
Electric system is mostly done.
Structure like walls and doors will be done soon.
Plumbing inlet side is there but for tightening.
Plumbing drain side is half there.
We need to move a wire circuit before installing the bathroom sink.
The Momma is moving in here this Thursday.
Done or not.
But it'll be "ready enough"

😀

I misread the model info on the engine.  It's an HH60, not HH80.

I'm hoping this will fit:

I misread it at first too. But when I punched the whole number into Google it came back and suggested HH60 was the correct code.

That's how I identified it.  These old peepers aren't so hot any more.

Just got in from shopping for food.

As i was driving back I was cut up by a very young sheep wearing a two piece swimsuit and driving a mean looking sports car.

1) Finished evaluating the Troy Bilt tiller.  I'm returning it.

2) Got some wiring done in the shop to power on the attic & back section lights.

My 8 gauge romex & 220v outlets arrived today, I hope to get them run & connected tomorrow so I can use my welder.

I laid all the drain pipes for the new apartment out on the counter so I can get my head wrapped around the system.

Should be all up n running sometime Thursday or Friday depending on how much help we get with the actual moving day. That's Thursday.

Soooooo...... I've spent the last 6 days either driving, in hospitals, or taking care of my stepson. He was in KY rock climbing with his college's climbing club, had an unfortunate fall last Wednesday that normally might only result in some bruises at worst, but landed short on a rock ledge and basically destroyed his ankle. I drove from IN to KY Thursday AM, picked him up, drove to NJ, spent the night at my brother's, then drove to Boston Friday morning to get him to an orthopedic surgeon for a 10:45am appointment. X-rays, CT, determined that some pretty intense surgery would be needed to reconstruct the ankle. Surgery was scheduled for today. Yesterday he started having pain in his calf, which could have been related to blood clots, not worth taking a chance. So we spent the whole night in the ER, end result = no blood clots, then had to drive an hour this morning for a 6:00am surgery check-in. Surgery took about 3 hours, now he has some cadaver bone parts mixed in with his own :scared-eek:. Doctor said he was pleased with how it went, but it will be a challenging rehab. Not sure how much longer I'll be staying here.

Boston has some of the best doctors in the country! Good choice. Wish him the best.
