Oh well.

Mine went AWOL for two days then showed up back on it's rail today mid-morning. I'm guessing that one of the other two long-term techs had it. The three of us have worked together long enough that we just borrow from each other as needed, as long as everything makes it home at the end of the day no one gets mad.

Sept 8 1963

Congratulations Ed and Mrs. K.

There have been 22,282 days from the day you were married up to today. If you’ve been sleeping 8 hours daily since then you have slept a total of 7,427 days or 20.33 years. You spent 33% of your life sleeping. Since night and day always follow each other, there were precisely 754 full moons after you were born up to this day.

On Sunday, September 8th, 1963

77th US Women’s Tennis: Maria Fraser beats Margaret Smith Court

#1 US song: My Boyfriend's Back by The Angels

#1 UK song: She Loves You by The Beatles

Popular movie: The Executioner of Venice directed by Luigi Capuano.

Scottish Lotus driver Jim Clark wins the Italian Grand Prix at Monza to clinch his first F1 World Drivers Championship; Clark's 5th GP win of the season.

Milwaukee Braves future Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn ties Christy Mathewson with 13 x 20-win seasons.

The 16 Gemini astronaut candidates began training in parachute landing techniques. The training involved being towed to 400 feet by a parasail, then releasing the towline and gliding to the ground. This training was necessary because in a low-level abort, the pilot would eject from the spacecraft and need to descend by parachute.

But your wedding had to be the most enduring of all of these events. All of the sports records have been surpassed, new movies and songs have come and gone but you are still going strong.

Congratulations T Shirt Designs Graphics & More Merch

The Paint Department got another step done on her latest stove restoration.  Early 2000s Regency Classic F1100.

She ordered Eastwood Factory Gray manifold color.

Nice Mike! I’m getting ready to start on shed #2. Will be a mirror image of mine on the slab to the right of it. Will have an awning also.

The neighbors a few doors down had some trees taken down a couple there weeks ago. They left the tree trunks as logs.

Today, there was a guy with a portable saw mill cutting the logs into beams - about 4 x 6 size.  There were some pieces of slab wood that were cut off to square the logs that had interesting live edges.  I commented on that, and the owners said to help myself to anything in the pile - in fact, take the whole pile if I wanted.  I ended up picking three pieces that had interesting grain pattern and edge shapes.

Being white oak, I'm going to let them season, stickered, along the back fence for a while.

I’ve been working pretty steady lately. BUT, I did though get some parts l ordered  a throttle lever knob, steering wheel insert clutch spring and shifter boot in the Mail after I got home from the meet and greet. That did tie up a few more loose ends nicely.

Have you drained & flushed the transmission?

@ebinmaine No, but I checked it before I left for the meet. It seemed fine, and not white like it is with water in the oil. When I first got it, I changed the transmission oil. I store it under cover in my relatively heated basement. The shifter boot was toast and came off in pieces.

Over the last couple days Trina has gotten this stove finished up. She ordered a box of fire bricks and cut them to fit using a chisel.

Once the exterior coating is cured properly it will be installed in the upstairs of the house.

My mom asked her that a few years ago.

BBT smiled and said, I don't know. I haven't tried everything yet! 🙃

Finally finished up a rehab on trailer. Paid $895 for it brand new 25yrs ago. Definitely gotten my money worth out of it all these years. Finally it was time for a strip down to repaint. Also had to replace hubs/bearings (they were original) New chains & tongue jack. Hopefully last me another 25yrs
