I’m liking that roll up door that doesn’t go out over the shop ceiling. Those type’s don’t block your lights when they’re up.

I have been building shops, treehouses, forts, clubhouses, tractor storage buildings, she sheds, chicken coops, doghouses, birdhouses, etc., since I was about 8-10 years old. I love being able to look back and see what I created with mine own two hands.

Thanks! This is my first venture into building a building. It’s not perfect by no means but when done, should last me till my time expires. My oldest owns his own garage door business. This door was a takedown but fits my needs perfectly. I have another one a little larger that may end up in the side of a container. I have more concrete to pour and another building just like this one to build  later. This one has to be completed first 😁

I made a friend happy today.  Someone cobbled her exhaust pretty bad.  Yes, she wanted straight pipes.

I think it sounds great, until the torque converter locks up in overdrive, then there’s a funky resonance.  She likes it and now it’s solid.  It’s one of those “fast, cheap and reliable… you pick two” situations I think… the last guy to work on it did a terrible job.

How's that un-muffled exhaust work when it's inspected?

Or do you not have State inspection?

No inspections here.  No safety, no emissions.

Last night I applied some Chelsea Leather Food I have imported from Kettering, England to my Harley Davidson riding boots. ( Instructions say apply and let sit overnight )

Today after work I polished them.

Then I figured my Harley Davidson Engineer’s riding boots ( @Pullstart ) and the Florsheim  Wing Tips could use a little elbow grease too…

So I put some Chelsea Leather Food, imported from Kettering, England on them as well. Tomorrow after work I will buff them.

Which got me to thinking…

“Seriously, how often do you really look at a man’s shoes?”

Who knows what movie the above quote is from, and what character said it ?

Had a break in the crazy rain and wind having around here so went out and grabbed some sheet steel and cut a piece out and covered up the dump cart tailgate. Next chance I'll get going to mount the hardware and make it operational. Also I have learned when you don't have a tailgate you don't notice things out of square, looks like the PO hauled a ton of rocks or somthing cuz 1 side will need some adjusting and persuading.

I learned something today.  Jada taught me that my pants don’t actually need to be under my butt to get my plumber’s crack on!  Good news #2!  We have water pressure again!

Notice the melted contactor on the left side of the old switch.  Luckily, it failed open instead of closed.

In one of those moments of laziness coupled with mindless can-do optimism, I thought I’d adjust the limits on one I was replacing “dynamically” - while it was energized.  It might have worked if I’d used a plastic screwdriver!  Instead it was a flash of failure.  I still have the fried unit, which reminds me I intended to replace that contactor and have a mostly new working spare.  That’s one dumb shortcut I won’t be attempting again.

In case you couldn't ID what kind of tractor I was painting in the first pic, here's a better clue.:)

Got this Ford off my plate.:D I sprayed Ford red on the remaining sheet metal. This concludes my obligation towards this tractor.
