The app will place you within about 30 to 50 ft of reality. For instance, we walked the near side of the road but it places the trail about 10 feet into the neighbors land across the street. Also, there was a straight stretch in the marked trail the doesn't exist so we corrected that. Horse Newbie 7,069 #3208 Posted October 12, 2021 (edited) A month and a half or so ago one of our powered recliners on our living room sectional stopped working...right around the morning after a BIG, close, lightning strike. ( It shook the house, and I about jumped out of my skivies ) I thought, well it took a voltage surge... Got my HF VOM and checked things out... Was getting 120 volts past the on/off button, fuse, and to the wiring harness up to the AC/DC converter, but the power light on the converter was not lit. Went to the jungle site and ordered one for about $20 or so and today when I got home I rolled the recliner over and hooked it up... We are horizontal again ! 8ntruck 7,004 #3209 Posted October 14, 2021 (edited) Yesterday I got the rest of the elevation readings on my proposed driveway route onto our 20 acres in Ky. Today my son and I shot elevations 10 feet either side of the center line. We used the surveyors range stick and my Craftsman laser level mounted on a tripod. Worked pretty well. I then used the Stihl trimmer with a brush blade to start clearing the underbrush where the first building is planned. Whoever designed the trimmer did a good job. I ran out of gas about the same time the trimmer did. @ebinmaine - your tractor with the chipper on it would be just the thing to process the scratch I am making. Half an hour later after going through plastic bins,drawers, tool boxes, still hadn't found one. Uncovered dads old oak tool chest and started through it. After raking a round in little compartment at the top there it was, a genuine nickel plated church key. The need for it, I open an old case of 10 w hydraulic oil there they were in quart metal cans. 8ntruck 7,004 #3216 Posted October 15, 2021 Back out in the woods today. One of my goals this week was to work in the woods for 3 days and not fall. Didn't make it. Had a leaner, maybe 20' tall and about 2 1/2" diameter at the base. While I was pulling I'd down, I took a step back, and found a low spot in the ground. I gracefully (at least I think so) bent at the waist, landed on my 'padding', then rolled onto my back. Ended up on my back with my feet pointed up hill. My mind said just sit up. My 6.5 decade old abs just laughed! Nothing hurt but my pride. My C195 will eventually be assigned to Ky. Sure could have used it today. Stormin 9,981 #3218 Posted October 15, 2021 About 3-4 weeks ago, on my Thursday trip to Scotland, lost some of the electrics on the Hyundai Santa Fe. Electric windows wouldn't work. Heater/ac wouldn't. And it wouldn't start. Garage found the starter solenoid was shorting out. New starter fitted. Yesterday as I was about to go over, it refused to start. Same symptoms and starter dead, zilch, not a tweet. I was not a happy bunny . Phoned the garage and told they would try to collect it if they could. They didn't but I must admit I wasn't expecting them to. I know how busy they are. The owner and a mechanic landed up this afternoon. Replaced a fancy fuse, disconnected the starter and everything was working again. Connect the starter and pop went the fuse. Looks like another faulty starter. This one a brand new AC Delco. (Not Lucas, Squank, DougC. Sorry to disappoint you.) Si ordered another there and then. Should arrive, (I hope) Monday. So the Santa Fe is back at the garage and a Honda Civic Si's left me sits in its place. The rest of the afternoon was spent venting my wrath at AC Delco on some logs with the chainsaw and splitter. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
