Horse Newbie

So today I was needing some room on my workbench, but I had sat a box on it that came from my late Aunt and Uncles house that I had never gone through...

I could not find the thread where people try to identify old items from days gone by, or odd items from the present...

So I found this in the box...

Anybody know what it is ?

No particular thread.

Just start your own with the title of

Whatizzit or any variance of..

Certainly an interesting piece though....

@Jennifer

How's the second layer get up there ?

Will this be used for a "shed" while at home as well.

Very cool.

Yup.  It took me a minute, but I know what it is.  That one is well used.....

Think I was in grade school the last time I saw/used one.

Clue - the Princess phone signaled the end of the need for one of these, though you could still use one on that phone.

Ah, yes. Got it. Thanks for the clue.

Still have a wall phone in our house that could fully use that, too!

I'll add that the one in the picture probably dates from the early 60's or earlier.  Anybody know what the clue for dating it is?

I think it's earlier than the 60's...the phone number says Edison 4-4761.

It’s a big one!  7x20”. Bought it super cheap! $2,500 2nd owner!  My boss had it lol…. Few reasons for this mobile stable are one the location we stored them was on mud road, old farm and the mice where doing a lot of damage!  2nd we are trying to find a new place to live in the same town husband and I work….  The location has rules on out sheds and so forth that this was a way to thin the heard down and get around the restrictions!!  😂. The trailer isn’t an out shed and is able to be licensed! Sadly we have down sized many horses but have kept all the little one for sure!  Lol.  Even at 20’ the trailer wouldn’t hold our want to keep horses so he pondered it and that’s what he came up with!!!  One more horse to find home for!  Lots of parts and decks will be sorted out!  Third but not least the horses are always loaded and ready for a show!!!  In all it will hold 10 or 11 horses!  🤞🏻

Been a nice dry day, so I've been putting the saw bench to work. We have three log storage. Two are pallet size. Pallet floor and pallet sides and back. The third is a cage, 2-1/2ftW by 4ftH by 8ftL. That is full from a big sycamore given me by a local farmer in February. I did have to cut it down.

One of the others is full of wood from my mates in Scotland. The other is now empty. Or was till today. That has been filled from the heap that's been lying out in the open. That can now dry out.

There is still about 2T to log but that is under tarpaulins. That is apart from the half an ash tree, that the farmer brought round a couple of weeks ago. At least another ton.

There's another couple of ton over at my mates to collect when I have room.

Should be OK for a few months. :D

Excellent plan.

We've been mulling over doing something or other with a trailer like that.

Haven't bought one yet because they're all platinum coated around here.

No worries.

Every year for who knows how long Trina's family has gotten together in the fall to apple pickin.

Location depends on who's able to attend.

This year we went to Brackett Orchards in Limington Maine.

Great place.

Here's some pics of the views from the farm.
