  Yes he did. Just his compact tractor not his Wheel Horse.

  The long dry spell we have been having has come to an end. Had some heavy showers over the weekend and as I set off to the farm this morning, a light drizzle was starting. In the time it took to get there it was raining quite heavy.

  Not to worry, was told we had an inside job. Replacing a cake hopper in the milking parlour. "Simple job", said my farmer friends eldest son. Now the simple jobs are not my favourite ones. They can be the ones that turn out to not be. Now anyone familiar with milking parlours will know what the damp and cowcake can do to metal. Especially after 40 something years.

  Another slight problem was the parlour roof. That's about 40 something as well. Was due to be replaced this year, but due to the shortage, like a lot of materials,has not been done. Right above the hopper there was a crack in the corrugated asbestos sheet. As the rain increased and kept it up all day, so did the water dripping, or should I say running in.

  I've never worked inside, wearing waterproofs and got so wet in all my years. Nothing like cold water down your neck, in your ears and eyes. But after four hours of fighting rusty bolts and screws we got the job done. Just in time for milking. That's home time for me.

 For got to add. When I reached home I found the lane by the pond flooded. So I've just got in from unblocking the drain I put in early this year. Draining rods with a corkscrew on the end and a couple of reeds pulled through and the water gushed through. I think a bit of spade work at the outlet is required, to clear away some more reeds.

My Iseki TX1300 ( similar to Bolens 1300 ) is Roadlegal with all Paperworks.

 

 

It was a little prepping to find fitting inserts for the original Lights to EU conform lights

and few other things here be needed like flasher and hazard light.

but the main Problem was therefore here the 2 independent brakes what the iseki allready have.

 

Because of that it was primary just a lot of paperwork, one check at TÜV (Road Safety Company) and all was Done.

Now i be allowed to ride along the Road‘s....

I tried this with the WheelHorse also, but actual it’s a nono here because of the single brake.

Worked on putting steel on the magic parts shed as it seems I do every nite after a day at the salt mine. Who's idea was this anyway!!!  Matches the rest of my outbuildings anyway.

Come in to find a package on the porch from @19richie66...awesome Ritchie!  

One problem tho gonna have to put braille on it so I can distinguish mine from @Achto's  or @pullstart's when we are at camp and  blind!

Stripped the underside of my deck down to bare metal, ready to apply the POR-15 treatment... 

 

And added the stiffener / safety bar to the discharge chute.  That's one of the 'through bolts' from my old boiler that I replaced several years ago.  I knew there was a reason I saved them!

Note that the back apron had been bent down at some point by previous owner mis-treatment.  Before I welded the bar I set up a jig to spread the apron out for more clearance.  It was still real close and it would hit every now and then if I accidentally backed into a fence post with the wheel (which I would do fairly often because I try to get the deck under the fence to minimize weed whacking).  My hope is that the stiffener will cure that problem. (HA! with my luck I'll bend the bar!)

 

I hope it doesn't catch too much grass and clog the chute!

 

 

@Ed Kennell  Thanks for the photo reminder!  I forgot I wanted to do this until I saw your post of your deck sunbathing with tanning oil slathered on!

I have an uncle who's been in country/rock bands most of his life. His space/cargo needs aren't real heavy but take up alot of large rectangular area. 

He bought a new Element awhile back. 

Loved it. 

 

He joked about the shape... "It looks like the box it came in!"

 

 

I've been a fan of that box shape myself. I need a new commuter car. Within a week or two I should have a new Kia Soul here.

Get out y' tape measure and find a frame with the right wheelbase.
