Just don't forget to run RV antifreeze through the pump if it's stored where it can get below freezing and check the oil in the pump every season.

My pressure washer is the combination of a motor and chassis (just like yours) and a pump from different POs who didn't understand maintenance.

Engine/chassis/hose/wand was cheap after a freeze cracked the pump's block (Antifreeze? Guess I should've read the manual)-- $40

Pump was cheap after engine blew a rod (Yeah, I didn't check the oil very often) -- $40

Both owners had just bought new PWs!

10-4 on the freeze. I blow out everything  and then store in the heated shop.

Pump gear box has a big @$$ sight glass and a way to change oil.

Mine too. Nice that these AR (Annovi Reverbri) pumps' oil access is so straightforward.

Funny thing about these PWs, too. Once you have one running, EVERYTHING starts to look a little dingy and in need of a wash :laughing-rolling:.

I continue to long for a temperature-controlled workspace to enjoy working on my tractor projects. Heated storage is just dreaming!

I'd like to have a 1 acre building for all the things I want to work on.

We do have to play shuffle shuffle rearrange a fair bit but we do ok.

My research shows those the Cadillac of pumps and unfortunately  a little out of reach for the occasional user. This one was just under 2 bills but I saw them for less than 1. Didn't want to go too cheap tho. I wanted one with an adjustable unloader so as to not damage fine patinas.

For sure--this was really a critical feature for me as well. I see you also have the adjustable spray wand--another handy bit of kit.

Hear tell Uncle Sam has got a fat checkbook too... must explain the $400 BFHs  I would think they would want the best operators for such a delicate operation.

Wow... write it in concrete I got to slam Squonky and hype Craig in the same post! :laughing-rolling:

My pressure washer was a Christmas gift after my heart attack back in 14' . With the money I saved not having to buy pw's that break like Jimbo's, I'm able to always have a clean pooper scooper on hand when needed!

Sad but so true…

Just tried donating a stair chair (takes folks up and down stairs on a rail). Perfect condition, 2 years old… NO ONE would take it… not a single charitable organization. Why? Unanimous reason - liability… I can’t blame them…

But really, same underlying reason cited by @AMC RULES… we no longer seek excellence - we hide behind lawyers, liability “concerns” and plausible deniability…

So sad…

Put another way, Think about what a Wheel Horse tractor would look and function like if it were manufactured today… let your mind wander… :scared-eek:

When I worked at the hospital and it was time to replace beds wheel chairs and stretchers, we couldn't give them away. They had to be scrapped

You worked at the wrong hospital then Squonky. My wife brings home stuff like that all the time. Chairs, shelving, you name it. Problem is all the other employees want it too but since she is in materials management she gets dibs!

We could bring sheves VCR's Camera's all of that junk home. I got a drug refrigerator in my shop.:) Any direct patient care items had to be scrapped.

I could see why she dragged home a wheelchair with you around! :helmet:

Fixed the broken zipper on my 20 year old Eureka tent.

Called the company, explained the issue, they sent me several zipper sliders in the mail for free with excellent instructions. Bippity bip…

Can’t say enough about their customer service… great company with excellent products and service.

Every once in a while good customer relations are still practiced in a company!   The cost of parts at no cost from a reliable company might make a customer for life!

They did that very thing about 20 years ago with me when they replaced the zipper on my then 25 year old pup tent for free… that little tent is still going strong… that was a deciding factor when I bought this big tent for the family…

Pullstart

One step closer to finishing the outdoor kitchen!  The pex to hose adapter was leaking last night, or the ice maker would be in too.

today, fix the leak and finish the two small ends.
