Mickwhitt 4,642 #2029 Posted May 14, 2021 Made a steel security fence topper for fitting tomorrow, cut the lawn as we have rain forecast for the weekend and strimmed the grass verge opposite our house. Its looking nice and green but I want to keep it tidy rather than descending into the bracken jungle 7 foot deep by the end of summer. I pulled all the new bracken shoots I could before cutting. Stormin 9,981 #2030 Posted May 14, 2021 There's a big black crow making quite a nuisance of itself round here. Pinching food put out for the little birds and even trying to get into houses, if a door is left open. So I took one of my shotguns and some cartridges into the workshop. This afternoon it landed on it's usual perch in a big tree at the front of next door's drive. So out of the workshop I ran and with a quick snap shot, (no time to hesitate when dealing with crows) it took off minus a few feathers. We'll see if it has survived in the next day or so. On the light side to give you a smile, Carol's studio is next to the neighbours hedge. About 30ft from the tree. She was in there working on a painting when I fired. Ten foot away from the door. She nearly fell off her chair.

Ed Kennell 38,225 #2038 Posted May 14, 2021 Got the roof on the new wood shed just in time. A tree blew over into the field where the neighbor was ready to plant cantalopes. I got some help from son and grandson and removed it today. 4

Horse Newbie 7,075 #2042 Posted May 15, 2021 About a week or so ago I picked up about a half a sheet of OSB out of the middle of the road. Brought it home and put it in my shop...been in the way ever since... So today it dawned on me that my attic space over my shop could use a little more flooring... 1

Here we have the rarely seen "Bar oil jug + Peavey" combination.
Stormin 9,981 #2046 Posted May 15, 2021 It's been a good day. Next door has been removing a garden border to replace it with a path. Lots of good soil to dump. Had a word with him and left him my Saxon trailer yesterday. Went round with the Sears this morning and brought the trailer, full of soil home. SWMBO has three large tubs we brought home last year from her sisters farm in Wales. I was going to buy some top soil to fill them. Not now. Spent about 5hrs putting the soil through a riddle. Really good black soil it is. After cleaning out the trailer I put the mowing deck onto the C-125. Showers forecast for tomorrow so mowed green and verges. Aye! It's been a good day.
Ed Kennell 38,225 #2047 Posted May 15, 2021 I went to son Marks place and picked up my log splitter to work on the tree we cut up yesterday. On the way home this 855 jumped on the trailer. So much for downsizing. 10
Wheel Horse 3D 3,795 #2048 Posted May 15, 2021 Up on the morning...go load and move trash abt 1500 lbs worth, from storages and an eatate. Get home, complete headlight lens testing, but needed the Polaris to go move a trailer. No start..Tried boost box(dead), plugged in a charger, taking too long, sooooo...Wheel Horse rescues the Polaris with a jump. Now off to move some more "quality merchandise" before the sun sets.
