Pimping out the old sandblaster..
When the ad said 'Cummins industrial sandblaster' with no photos, cheap enough, and 3 hours away.. somehow I expected it to be a quality machine.. not an upscale Hazard Fraught job.

TP Tools sells a nice retrofit kit, so I've been replacing everything except the shell..

I bought this the other day. 1960 suburban 400. It has a 5 1/2 horsepower Briggs on it but did come with the original Koehler k91t engine plow and deck also. What’s it worth just out of curiosity??  Engines are freed up. Supposed to run. Mower deck and plow are just mocked up for the picture but it’s all there. Thanks for the help

That would be whatever you paid for it.

The market varies with location.   Here in my tractor rich area, the max I pay  for a roller is $150.

Looks like a nice project....Good luck and keep us posted on the progress.

Chilly start to the day but it warmed up as the day went on. Mowed the green and verges after lunch.

Been a busy as all get out weekend.

Had a friend stay with us and a couple more joined in for a great BBQ Saturday evening.

Saturday during the day 3 of us went for a walk up the mountain across the street. Took the rough way bushwacking through the forest and up the steeper side.

A great hike.

Today we puttered around the yard a bit after our company took leave.

Monster wood splitter wouldn't start yesterday but we didn't have much time to mess with it. We had popped the gas tank off. Cleaned it out. Changed the fuel line. Not even a small huff.

Today Trina swapped out the spark plug and it ran ... Ish.

Constant surge/hunt.

I'm NOT a believer in engine additives and I also have no use for PB Blaster. No offense to those who use it but I find it to be a well marketed spray that does nothing as a penetrant.

Awhile back it was recommended I try tossing some  P. B. Brand tune-up in a can spray at a problem child carb.

I was doubtful at best but figured WTH..

I've used it in a few engines since.

It works quite well for a carb that just needs a little reminder of what it's supposed to be doing.

So now the splitter is up and running and ready for this year's chores.

It also has a ummm. Special type of cover on it that @Mows4three could elaborate on.

I messed about with the FM zc3 but didn't get it to fire. @Stepney had already mentioned he'll help me with it next time he's about.

Earlier today The Paint Department worked on her Wheelhorse symbol door knocker.

She put a second coat of paint on the head area, changing it's color.

Here's a few pics...

The interior design department wanted an industrial looking light fitting for our kitchen.

Have you seen the price of those things?

So the "I can knock one of those up" department had a go and came up with this...

Scaffolding tube and fittings with a few coolie hat down lights and some bits of industrial decoration.

Absolutely lovely interdepartmental cooperation

First i got few wooden Beams from Mart‘l for my planed new Pavillion and the extension rack in the Shed.

the 4 i bundled become the Main posts 9cm x 6cm with 2,20m height and the 2 right aside

becomes the both Top Supports. So 1/3 of the needed Material is now still here - for Free.

The other 4 Posts being used to extend my High storage Rack.

2,5m in height and 5 meter in width to extend the Areal where now the green Tarp is.

Because i like to cut them in size with the Bandsaw i need a Support, because they are 2,60m long and too heavy for the Bandsaw sideway‘s.

So i start the Welder and buzzing quick few Steeltubes together.

few drilled holes and - Tadaaa.

634CD58D-7DC4-4903-B374-FD1AEA2FCC6B.jpeg.06674538b9bc9bc2562897dad80d7746.jpeg

a nice Lazy support to be able also cut long pieces.

In the U profile shape i can put pipes in or on without rolling away.

Simply and useful.

yap, ya maybe right, it seems there is missing 2 legs, but not in my World because that was planed.

So i can store them aside space saving and i can stabilize them with few wooden blocks or also with 2 Stoneplates

Or whatever comes handy and heavy enough and it is rocksolid.

A little woobly is wished by myself to move the material +-2cm arround to get it in the right Cut point quick.

To vary the height simply press the pin and push or pull until next click

the stepsize i choosed in 4 cm steps, based from the top level of the Bandsaw.

Next step is the underside of the U align to the Bandsaw and so on..

The mid point is the top of the U aligned to the Bandsaw.

The first tests works pretty nice.

you see right, the Iseki is parked front end away and the Clamped Steel Bar on the Rear becomes another Project.

But it goes maybe slow, i plan myself  a small Backhoe completely selfmade from scratch like my FEL was done.

some Hydraulic parts are allready ordered.

This evening I checked my cctv as my neighbour found one of his garden lights damaged by someone climbing over his fence.

Found a thief at 2 am climbing into my garden and trying to break into my shed. I wish I could get my hands on the scum. See if he can go stealing with broken legs.

But then, I recall one of our local thieves who was paralysed from the waist down in a car crash (stolen car so no sympathy). The government gave him a specially adapted car and he used it to drive other thieves round.

Maybe the arabs have it right cutting their hands off.

Little bit of crime prevention work today, after my close shave with a thieving little toe rag last week.

20210428_182551.jpg.dd5352164fad73d1ba9e2ef5f121126b.jpgStill at the development stage but sharp blades on fence tops are my preferred method.

Im hoping he tries again tonight as I will be able to follow the blood trail.

20210428_182617.jpg.688ddf88d3a47c3d9ec388f00f0c0322.jpgLarge bandsaw blade screwed to the fence it not as sharp but still not a comfortable climbing experience.

I've also ordered a few 12g shotgun mines to salt about the place. Blanks of course!

You make sure that's legal, Mick. If memory serves the practice of cementing broke glass on wall tops, laid you open to prosecution/being sued if some one injured themselves on it. You know how things are these days. If someone breaks in and your dog bites them, you can get done for having a dangerous dog.

Personally I like the electric fence idea. :handgestures-thumbup:
