I remember one Monster Garage episode where an English wheel was used.  Jessie made a comment that the machine was really good at making blood come out from under one's fingernails.  Was kind of like hitting your finger with a hammer, but without the hammer letting up.

@SylvanLakeWH Never heard of using rubber cement . Does it make the bead slip in place easier than liquid soap ?

Neither had I...I saw it on a YouTube video and figured I’d try it on a non critical tire. 2 ply hi run on a trailer... totally flat spot sitting for at least a year...

I just cleaned up rim and tire, spread cement on rim contact portion of tire and gave it high air while pushing flat spot out by hand... grabbed in about 5 seconds and held perfectly! I was impressed. Clean, cheap and easy... Easiest time I’ve ever had getting one to grab...

we’ll see how it holds but I see no reason why it won’t...

Until comes time to break the bead?

I used RTV on the tires on my leave blower.  I got pissed at having to fight them back on the bead every fall and said "I can fix that!"   They still go flat after a few days but at least they don't fall off the rim!  If the tire ever shreds I'll throw it out and pick up an eight dollar Harbor Fright combo.

Yeah probably, but I use that machine what, maybe twice each fall?  Even if I replaced them every year I would actually be OK with that!

@Jeff-C175 you could throw some air each tire once or twice a year and solve the problem.

I know, right?

In the off season it ends up behind everything else though.  And at the rate they lose air much more often than that would be necessary!

Sounds like the location of my leaf blower. I can see it , but I would need 2 men a boy to move all stuff if I was in a hurry.

I've been walking the dog in the nearby state game area.  I don't think any hunting seasons are open, the underbrush has not started to grow yet and it is still too cold for mosquitoes, so this is a good time to wander in the woods.  Dog and I usually do about two miles.

One thing that has been bothering me is the amount of litter I am seeing.  One spot, it looks like some creaton cleaned the trash out of his pickup box - pile of bottles, cans, boxes, rags, etc.  Yesterday, I packed a 30 gallon trash bag along and filled it, leaving about 1/3 of the pile.  Today's walk, I packed another 30 gallon bag along, got the rest of the pile and a bunch of litter on the way back to the car to fill that bag as well.

Probably pack another bag along tomorrow as well.

One thing I found that I can't pack out is the remains of an old car.  I'll try to snap some pictures and post them to see if anybody can identify the make, model, and year.  It is well along to returning to iron oxide, so there are not too many clues left.

The lack of consideration put out by some people today is just baffling to me.

It's not young. It's not old. It's not city. It's not country.

We see it all over the place.

Thank you for taking the time to pick that stuff up.

Same thing over here. Had some people wild camping in the lakes national park. Left loads of rubbish and even their tents. Morons!

it's sad to see that some people just throw away their rubbish

instead of taking it back and disposing of it properly.

Here with us, it is often cyclists who simply throw their rubbish next to the general public's bank.

Bad luck when I'm in the shed - and I'm over there very often at the moment.

So i was yesterday in the Shed and Serviced my Hand Mower.

after back in Service i prep it for delivery..

Than Mart‘l come along and ask me if i have an idea he have a need for a pallet fork extender

to have a little bit a longer fork while moving the hunter stand arround with the FEL.

It must not carry a massive Load, it just was needed to keep it in balance while driving.

So we discuss a little about

and that what i come up with.

The Flat iron was 13mm and 1 meter.

the Bandas are built of 2 U profiles 5 cm to carry the Bars on the Fork 5 mm thick Steel.

2 Angle iron stoppers prevent twisting of the Bars on the Fork and a small endstop will finalize

to set it both in a fixed place, even it must push a little.

Cut a few conifer stumps to ground level for an elderly neighbour this morning. He had been trying and failing with a chainsaw so I broke out the Sawzall with a carbide toothed blade and took them to pieces.

The chainsaw was an electric one with plenty of power but the blade tensioning hub is poorly positioned so that it fouls on the stump and prevents the cam teeth from biting in to the wood and allowing proper use of the saw.

This morning went down to the field for the last of the wood. Some big lumps got chain sawed into manageable pieces. Two more loads brought home. The wood yard must have 4-5 ton in it now. Maybe more. And all for  free and some work.  :D

    Just needs logging now. :chores-chopwood:
