SylvanLakeWH 25,600 #1677 Posted April 8, 2021 Set up the bird bath fountain I made from spare pump and parts from old fish tank... 5 gallon reservoir in garage with hoses to bird bath makes maintenance a lot easier...! 4
cschannuth 3,816 #1678 Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) I sprayed in a bedliner on my old ranger. I bought the gun and it works like a dream. My wife was even impressed because she is usually just tired of me messing around with my little truck. The gentleman that I bought this truck from was older and eventually could no longer drive. Unfortunately he parked it under a tree and a lot of debris accumulated in the bed that actually had some rust issues. Other than that the truck was from Arkansas wit zero rust through. I patched the holes and then sprayed the bedliner on in three coats and it really turned out nice. Edited April 8, 2021 by cschannuth 1

I couldn’t believe how nice it worked. I prepped the bed, shot it with a couple light coats of etching primer, and then used enough liner for a full size 8’ bed on my 6’ bed. 1

8ntruck 7,016 #1684 Posted April 10, 2021 Worked on the flat Sears garden trailer tire. One step forward, two steps back. Patched the tube, inflated it, all good, put the tube back in tire, remount tire, inflate, all looks good. Put my tools away, picked up the wheel to put it back on the trailer, tire is now squishy. Dismounted one tire bead, pulled the tube and found the patch not fully adhered. Re applied glue, stuck the patch down. Inflated the tube and found a second leak. Patched the second leak, inflated the tube, no leaks. Installed the tube, was seating the tire and noticed that the bead bundle was coming loose from the tire . Tire is now scrap. Was a cheapo from TSC, I think. Only one season on it. Need to get another tire. Might as well pick up a new tube as well.
ebinmaine 67,623 #1685 Posted April 11, 2021 Did some market research and ordered a portable bandsaw this morning. Went with a DeWalt. BBT and I took the dog up to the top of the mountain across the street from the house here. Her and her mom spent some time working on setting up the garden boxes. I worked on my hitch mounted crane for awhile this evening. Ground down a bunch of mill scale and some welds that I'm not happy with. Fired up the buzz box Lincoln 225 and went to town burnin rods. 7014 is my friend. 6011 has a place in the world but it's tough to run (for me). I also laid out some 6013 1/16 experimentally. Also went well. Should have time to work on that more tomorrow after martial arts training in the morning. 1
Mickwhitt 4,642 #1686 Posted April 11, 2021 Did a little more on the rear door project, some wiring and checking of cupboard positions etc. Also spent a couple of hours doing DIY jobs for my sister in law. Been a weird day weather wise, bright sun but deathly cold and occasional snow flurries. Pubs reopen tomorrow after easing of lockdown so get ready for idiots of the UK to go over the top lol.

Mickwhitt 4,642 #1694 Posted April 12, 2021 Usually I just remove the breast meat, you can skin them and roast them whole. The breast is lovely and tender, dark with a bit of a liver texture and flavour. Our farms are plagued by wood pigeon so they become fairly available. Most folk don't know how to deal with things that don't come wrapped in plastic or microwave ready lol 1

Stormin 9,981 #1697 Posted April 12, 2021 Got a couple of pairs that are resident here. Nice big plump ones. Have to leave them alone or I'd end up the main participant in a lynching party.
Mickwhitt 4,642 #1698 Posted April 12, 2021 Been playing fire fighter today. First bit of dry weather and kids have been setting fires on the grassland opposite where I live. Lots of dry dead grass that is perfect for setting light to. But when it gets going it could be a real problem. Kids are supposed to be back in school, little bleeders.
