ebinmaine 67,552 #7026 Posted July 22 Trina and I went for a mountain bike ride this morning. Total milage 7.4. Elevation gain almost 700 feet. The top portion of the triangle in green below is almost all old colonial cart roads or snowmobile trails. All dirt. The bottom of the triangle and the separate leg is asphalt road. Start & end point is the blue dot 🔵
ebinmaine 67,552 #7027 Posted July 22 Changed the way our table saw was setup today. It was on this old blue formica table that came out of my maternal Grampa's barn. Never did like the way it set. Right on the outside edge. We've been wanting that blue table back for usage in the barn or workshop space anyway so I mounted the tables tablesaw on the old stand it came with. Redrilled the holes in the top of the table so they lined up with existing holes in the saw. Added wood blocks for spacing. Bolted it all together. Now the saw is under the right side shed roof in its semi permanent place. 3
Tractorhead 9,064 #7028 Posted July 26 Once more Success! Today early at 05:20 local time i flow my last rounds for fawn Saving and releasing the rest of Fields. While i fly, i wonder about with 2 Batteries. They let the Drone very early come back, much earlier than normal it should be. i was shure they went fully charged before i started. When i try to pull them out of the Drone they seems hooked internally, But - nothing is hooked, both batteries starts to inflate themself. Dang - That is absolutely worse sign on LiPo Batteries - but at least they last as needed for the last 4 Flights today, but now they must be urgently exchanged. To dangerous to fly again with them. They be now extreme Dangerous to become selfigniting. So another task is on the Desk - increase the Battery Lifespan - Na- Ion batteries should not have that issues but less capacity. probably they be the better solution. In the Brief description they should be extrem quick charging and quick draining capable without self inflating issue. Good thing is - All the fields arround are now mowed and again 0 Fawns was harmed. The Batteries didn’t last long - but independently of that I be so proud it worked that way. I hope the Na- Ion batteries will be very soon available. 2

SylvanLakeWH 25,594 #7032 Posted July 26 (edited) Left my name and number with a guy in our neighborhood who has a 70's? in the garage - he left the garage door open which is a rare event - hasn't moved in years... SS snowblower and a deck... we'll see... No pics as I thought it inappropriate to snap pics of his garage... Edited July 26 by SylvanLakeWH

The price should be much lower once the Sodium Ion battery has become developed into a more reliable product. We have oceans full of sodium, no more mining for lithium.

Ed Kennell 38,196 #7040 Posted July 28 The limbs of my honey locust shade tree were brushing the roof of the barn. So, when Mrs. K wasn't looking, I climbed up on the roof and trimmed the branches. Three loads of brush and more firewood.

ebinmaine 67,552 #7043 Posted July 28 Trina got a neat picture of our frog pond yesterday. The angle makes it look HUGE. The snake is one we've seen several times this summer. It's been staying in the woodpile under the side deck. This is large for a garter snake. We're hoping it's pregnant. And this.... this is a chicken. But this chicken has taken to imitating the DOG. She's been vocalizing with one clean clear crisp "bark".. 5
Sparky-(Admin) 21,318 #7044 Posted July 28 Did three bikes rides in the last three days. Friday was 14+ miles, Saturday was 13+ miles and today was my longest ride yet at just over 18 miles! Pretty pleased with myself! 1

8ntruck 7,013 #7046 Posted July 29 (edited) Been a busy week. Our neighbor's friends hold his and her family reunions at the neighbor's house every year about this time. We open up our lake house to make extra bedrooms available. It turns out that my wife is a distant cousin to one of the families, so we have been 'adopted' into the families for this event. One couple arrives about a week ahead of the reunion to get everything ready. This fills up our schedule - tinkering with the lake house, shopping trips, community meals, card games, etc, etc. On top of that, our 50th high school reunion was this weekend with a mixer on Friday evening and the reunion on Saturday evening - about an hour drive away. We ate well all week, all of the reunions went well. Everybody is prettery well blitzed this evening. Looks like we are in for a couple of 'recovery' days. squonk 41,136 #7047 Posted July 29 Got the 2nd K161 I picked last Fri. running. This one had been sitting longer. Had to un-seize the choke. It had no spark. Coil was connected backwards and I really had to clean up the points. I got it to fire but it wouldn't stay running. I finally cut loose and rebuilt the carb.

Mickwhitt 4,629 #7050 Posted July 30 I don't wash cars, ok I might rinse a bit if muck off every now and then, but I don't wash and wax and stuff. Maybe that will change when I get my brand new car next week. But I've paid extra for a ceramic coating that mean you only have to rinse the bodywork to get it showroom fresh again, we shall see. But this morning I decided to wash Sandra's car. Not sure if I told you but we were trading it in against the new car. That was just before she decided to reverse it into the brick gate pillar of our drive. How? Who knows, but she says she just wasn't concentrating. So she doesn't want the responsibility of driving the new car and wanted a "banger" to use for herself. Well the trade in only has 50,000 miles on the clock and we've had it from new so why not keep it and use it as her runabout. So there's the plan, wife has a decent runabout and I get the shiny new car. So I washed and waxed it for her. Obviously that doesn't get rid of the scratches and dents she has accumulated over the years (I swear she drives by feel not sight!) But it looks better and smells nicer inside now. 1 2
